Prior to becoming a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I had a successful career in health care sales, working for a large, multi-national corporation. In 2012, my mother’s breast cancer diagnosis prompted me to take an inventory of my own health and wellbeing, which led me to enroll in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I opened my integrative health coaching practice in 2013, originally in Hoboken, NJ, and have since relocated to Monmouth County, NJ.
I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and in the process of completing my certification as a Functional Medicine Health Coach through The School of Applied Functional Medicine.
I am a member of AADP, The American Association of Drugless Practitioners and I hold a B.A. from Bryant University.
Integrative Nutrition Certification
During my training at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I studied more than 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Mark Hyman, Director of the Cleveland Clinical Center for Functional Medicine & Chairman of the Institute for Functional Medicine; Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My Approach
My coaching style is direct, supportive and goal-oriented. I am committed to guiding my clients towards attainable and sustainable changes in all areas of daily life; nutrition, lifestyle, career, family, spirituality and self-care. I tie together details from multiple sessions enabling my clients to see patterns in their lives that stand between them and optimal health. Reaching their health goals allows clients to attain additional personal growth benefits beyond what they had originally expected.
On a Personal Note…
In addition to coaching clients, spending time with family and friends, you will find me traveling with my husband, Chris, to the west coast of Florida, Europe and Vermont or catching the latest wine tasting. I have a heart felt passion for dancing and music, which I believe is an undervalued tool for relaxation and healing. I love being out in nature whether it’s hiking. or power walking the boardwalk in Asbury Park. #saltair
