I had a successful career in pharmaceutical sales working for a large, international corporation, which I’m forever grateful for the knowledge that decade provided me. In 2011 my mother’s breast cancer diagnosis prompted me to take an inventory of my own health and wellbeing, which led me to enroll in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition followed by the CME accredited program at The School of Applied Functional Medicine. I took the leap to start a new career and opened my integrative health coaching practice in 2013, originally in Hoboken, NJ, and relocated to Monmouth County, NJ in 2015
I know all too well the dismissal that can occur in healthcare appointments. I spent years suffering from an undiagnosed thyroid condition, crippling period pain since age 14 from endometriosis (masked by BC pills), “unexplained infertility” and perimenopause by age 39.
Perimenopause started as a concerning level of depression, insomnia, and chronic pain. It wasn’t until I revisited the foundations I had learned from my training (nourishing my adrenals, dialing in my GI health, regulating my nervous system/limbic retraining, addressing childhood traum) alongside hormone replacement therapy that I started to get relief.
A Connecticut native and Jersey shore lover, I love traveling with my husband and daughter both near and far. I have a heart felt passion for dancing and music, which I believe is an undervalued tool for deep healing and relaxation. I love being out in nature immersed in the serenity of the woods or power walking the boardwalk in Asbury Park and Ocean City New Jersey.
